General Info

Coulmore Bay Caravan Park is situated on the north shore of the Beauly Firth approximately 2 miles from the picturesque village of North Kessock.

The village hosts a mini-mart, post office and hotel and we would highly recommend the White Cottage for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner - but not all at once, of course! Joan and Ian will give you a warm welcome, we are sure!

Below is a summary of general information about shops, banks, arrival and departure times, etc., which we hope you may find useful.

  • Accommodation
    • All our caravans have 2 bedrooms, a double room and a twin room and there is also a double bed in the lounge.
    • Each 'van is therefore 6-berth.

  • Airport
    • Inverness (Dalcross) Airport - approximately 13 miles - just off A96 Aberdeen road.
    • Please see our Useful Links page for more information about air travel to and from Inverness.
  • Arrival & Departure
    • Arrival time is 4pm unless by prior arrangement.
    • Departure by 10am.
  • Availability
    • Our caravans are available to let from April to October.
    • Please contact us to check on availability and to obtain a Registration Form.
  • Banks & Cash Machines
    • In Inverness - approximately 5 miles. There are branches of most major banks and building societies.
  • Bathroom/WC
    • Each caravan has a bathroom with toilet, wash hand basin and shower.
  • Bedding
    • All bedding is supplied with the exception of bed sheets and towels.
    • We ask that you please bring your own sheets and towels with you.
  • Bookings
    • Please contact us to check on availability and to obtain a Registration Form.
    • A deposit of £50 payable by cheque is required at the time of registration.
    • The remaining balance is payable on arrival.
  • Buses
    • There is a regular bus service between North Kessock and Inverness.

  • Car Hire
    • Car hire is available both in Inverness city centre and also from Inverness Airport.

  • Cooking
    • Each caravan is equipped with a gas cooker.
    • Each one also has a microwave.

  • Decking
    • A feature of the caravans is the enclosed decking area where you can sit outside.
  • Dogs
    • One well behaved pet is welcome.
    • We ask that you please ensure that your pet is not allowed on the furniture or left in your caravan alone.
    • We also ask that your dog be kept under control and not allowed to annoy other holiday guests.
    • Your dog must be kept on a lead at all times whilst outside the caravan.
  • Eating Out/Pubs/Restaurants
    • The Anchor & Chain Hotel is located at Coulmore Bay, quite close to the caravan park.
    • The North Kessock Hotel is approximately 2 miles from the caravan park in North Kessock.
    • The White Cottage Tearoom is also situated in North Kessock, 2 miles away.

  • Electricity & Gas
    • The cost of electricity and gas is included in our prices.
  • Heating
    • Each caravan is equipped with gas heating and cooking.
  • Laundry
    • There is a laundrette on site at Coulmore Bay Caravan Park.
    • A washing line is provided at each of our caravans.
  • No Smoking
    • For the benefit of our other guests, we ask that you please do NOT smoke inside your caravan.
  • Parking
    • There is ample space for you to park your car at the side of your caravan.

  • Shops
    • There is a Spar shop and a post office in North Kessock - 2 miles.
    • There is a Morrisons supermarket in Inverness - 5 miles - as well as a large Tesco.
    • Inverness city centre also has a wide range of shops including Debenhams and Marks & Spencer.
    • Inverness also has several retail parks with many other national and local stores and shops.
  • Trains
    • The nearest railway station is in Inverness city centre - 5 miles.

    • Each caravan has a TV/video unit.
